Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
The inpatient rehabilitation program specializes in the treatment of older adults who require the services of physical, occupational and speech therapy following surgery, illness, injury or joint replacement. Individualized therapeutic programs are designed in collaboration with the resident to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, speaking and swallowing, and restore the ability to perform activities of daily living. The Baden Neighborhood provides short term inpatient rehabilitation and skilled services for residents whose need is short term, or who are planning to return home to the local community.
Examples of services include short term rehabilitation for persons as a follow up to orthopedic surgery for hip and knee replacements, or strengthening after an acute hospital stay.
Our rehabilitation focus centers on giving short term residents the functional skills that they need to safely return to their daily lives at home. The Baden Neighborhood is located adjacent to the Rehabilitation Department to provide convenient access to Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy services during their intensive stay. Long term residents on other neighborhoods are also provided rehabilitation services to promote their optimum level of functioning.
