Other Nursing Care Options
The Ebensburg and Carondelet Neighborhoods provide long term nursing care and services in a home-like, community environment. Services include daily nursing support and assistance, activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and dining, and a comprehensive activities program. The residents on these neighborhoods make Villa St. Joseph their long term home in a community setting.
Staff members of these neighborhoods are consistently assigned to assure that residents receive loving care from familiar staff over the course of their long term stay. Activities are designed to meet resident needs and support individual growth by offering new and unique programs for learning opportunities.
Dining is provided in a country kitchen setting that promotes healing through nourishing meals served with the resident's choice at the table. This atmosphere kindles friendships during meal time conversation. A sense of community is encouraged through building relationships during daily contacts with other residents and staff from all disciplines.
In addition, each neighborhood is overseen by a Registered Nurse/Neighborhood Manager who coordinates all clinical care and services for residents.
Residents are welcomed in a spirit of genuine hospitality to “neighborhoods” which emphasize care that is centered on their unique personal needs. Neighborhoods are designed to provide a comfortable, home-like environment in which life is respected, nurtured and celebrated. All neighborhoods have views of beautifully landscaped campus grounds for an outdoor ambience.
Neighborhoods feature spacious resident rooms, country kitchens for dining, living rooms, sunrooms and bathing areas. Residents are encouraged to personalize their living area with furnishings and belongings that hold fond memories. Cable TV, internet and private telephone services are available. There are on-site beautician and barber services, and transportation and escort services are provided as needed.
