Q: What do I have to do before becoming a volunteer?
All volunteers must have a TB (tuberculosis test) completed prior to any volunteer service. These tests are done free of charge at the Villa.
A criminal record check is completed free of charge on all volunteers 18 years and older.
A volunteer application (PDF) must be completed and signed prior to any volunteer service. These are available on the Villa website and at the Guest Services of Villa St. Joseph.

Q: What is the dress code for volunteers?
All volunteers are reminded to dress in comfortable, appropriate clothing for the task being completed. You will learn more about Villa St. Joseph's dress code during your orientation.
Q: What are some volunteer opportunities at Villa St. Joseph?
Escorting residents to and from activities
Visiting on a one to one basis with residents.
Assisting with community outings
Assisting staff with clerical work
Providing Pet Therapy
Q: Does the Villa accept youth volunteers?
Yes, the Villa welcomes youth in the community to volunteer. We ask that anyone under the age of 16 have a parental consent form signed and be accompanied by an adult, who would also need to meet the requirements of a being a volunteer at Villa St. Joseph.
Any student or youth is welcome to volunteer in 2 hour increments, as this best serves the needs of our residents and their daily schedules.
All of the paperwork requirements are the same for youth volunteers, except for the criminal record check for anyone under 18 years of age.
